It is with great sadness that we announce the death of La Freeda Evelyn Thomas in Chico, California, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brothers, Jeffrey Tate, Charles Wilson and Andre Tate. She is survived by: her husband Ronald of Chico, CA; her children, Jason Thomas of Paradise, CA and Angela Frazier of Bakersfield, CA; her grandsons, Malachi Thomas of Chico, CA, Abiah Newton and Moses Newton of Bakersfield, CA; and her brothers, Joseph Tate Jr. of Oak Hills, CA and John Wilson (Darla Kalke) of Corona, CA.
