He was predeceased by: his siblings, Irene Cavazos (Santiago), Lilia Darias, Genoveva Rodriguez (Guadalupe), Juan Gorena (Bertha), Angelita Sanchez (Cruz) and Olga Grimaldo (Manuel).
He is survived by: his wife Magdalena; his children, Magdalena Lara (Ramon), Belinda Llorente, Daniel Gorena (Sandra) and David Gorena (Denise); his grandchildren, Marianne Grimes (James), Joanne Lara, Christina Jimenez (Jose), Jacob Llorente (Natalie), David Gorena, Anthony Gorena (Whitney), Timothy Gorena (Rebecca) and Gregory Gorena (Cynthia); and his siblings, Lala De Real (Efren), Elizabeth Casas (Humberto), Nena Domato (Paul) and Suzanna Bueno (Antonio). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
