With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Barthman (Castro Valley, California), who passed away on March 23, 2018 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Harry Barthman and Marie Barthman; his friend Augie Marra; his wife Phyllis; his children, Philip Barthman, Laurie Barthman, Christine Quinn and Colleen Marino; his grandchildren, Brian Quinn, Nicholas Thompson, James Marino, Maia Barthman, Samantha Quinn, Catherine Thompson and Rebecca Marino; his sister Patricia Sullivan; his children-in-law, Peter Marino, Casey Quinn and Susan Bolt-Barthman; and also The Castro Valley Girls.
