He is survived by: his children, Sylvia (Mark), Jaime and Mario; his siblings, Roberto, Miguel, Alejandro, Socorro and Salvador; his parents, Evangelina Diaz and Juan Garcia; and his brothers, Juan and Jesus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St Joseph's Church, 1532 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, CA on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:00 am In lieu of flowers, please donate to Mel's favorite charity.
