She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Cantu and Eliria Cantu; and her siblings, Edna, Viola, Robert, Joseph, Emilie, Joanne and Thelma.

She is survived by: her husband John Charles Powers; her children, Robin (Bruce Hoppe), Jason (Laurie Powers) and Tara (Michael Condon); her grandchildren, Andrew, Dylan, Samantha, Natalie and Emily; and her sister Marie. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
