It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Leuthold of Carlsbad, California, born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away on March 7, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Sally Willyard; his brothers-in-law, John Willyard and Elmer Peterson; his nephew Jack Willyard; his niece Ann Willyard; and his parents, Mabel Leuthold and Carlos Leuthold.

He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Scollard Leuthold; his sister Springs of Colorado; his children, Michael Leuthold of Paradise, AZ, Kurt Leuthold (Tiffany) of Eagle River, MI, Russell Leuthold (Cheri) of Waukee, IA and Linda Donerkiel (Jim) of McCall, ID; his niece Carla Stockburger (Paul) of Billings, MT; his grandchildren, Sophie Leuthold, Vin Leuthold, Elly Blanco (Victor), Ethan Leuthold, Katrina Leuthold, Ben Donerkiel and Jill Donerkiel; his stepgrandchildren, Sydney Bemoras, Taylor Weil and Ashley Weil; and his great grandchild Briar Donerkiel.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Research or Wilderness Protection are preferred.
