Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Richard Yoder of Carlsbad, California, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 99, on April 19, 2021. He was predeceased by: his brothers, William Robert Yoder (Dorothy) and Carl Edwin Yoder (Elfriede). He is survived by: his daughters, Alexandra Yoder Hope (Hunter MacWilliams), Elizabeth Jane Yoder and Martha Lynn Yoder (Bill Clements); his stepchild Inez'; his son Rhodes Hileman; his niece Erika Chamberlin; his brother Leonard Bollinger Yoder (Ellie); his friends, Carolyn Jopes, Marcia Jones and Inez'; and also Swedina Hurt. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, and many good friends.

Richard's friend, Swedina Hurt, isolated with him from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic until his death.
