He is survived by: his parents, Sergio Muñoz Rojas and Irene Cortés; his wife Selene Serna; his daughter Yaritza Pilar Muñoz Serna (Selene); his siblings, Luis F. Muñoz Cortés, Sergio E. Muñoz and Genit Hernandez; his parents-in-law, Oscar Serna and Maria Campos; and his siblings-in-law, Luis E. Serna and Hilda Negrete. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
