He was predeceased by: his wife June. He is survived by: his son Douglas; his daughter-in-law Kelly Lipton of Mission Viejo; his children, Bruce Lipton (Vicki McAdams) and Kathleen; his son-in-law Michael Brown of San Jose; his son Scott; his daughter-in-law Diane Myers-Lipton of San Jose; and his grandchildren, Sarah Harris, Matt Lipton, Ashley Levine, Alexandra Martin, Jenna Brown, Josiah Myers-Lipton and Gabriela Myers-Lipton. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
