He is survived by: his parents, Francisco Esparza and Enedina Gutierrez; his daughters, Erica (Servando) and Leticia (Luis); his stepson Michael; his grandchildren, Sophia, Jose, Joshua, Mia and Kamilah; his siblings, Sergio (Emma), Francisco, Gerardo (Lorena), Raquel (Hector) and Juana (Victor); and his sister-in-law Lula. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
