He was predeceased by: his parents, C. S. "Bus" Phipps and Nadine E. Phipps. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hackett; and his children, Patricia Davis of Thousand Oaks and Michael Phipps of Newbury Park. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of the Hills - Conejo Mountain Funeral Home (2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo, CA 93012). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Paschal Baylon Church (155 E Janss Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Conejo Mountain Memorial Park (2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo, CA 93012).
Many Christmas seasons were also spent as the exhibit chairs for the No Room at the Inn charity benefiting local homeless programs.
