He is survived by: his significant other Christina Avila; his mother Martha Lidia Tamayo; his sons, Eddie Tamayo and Rodrigo Tamayo (Christina Avila); his grandchildren, Valerie Smith (Todd) and Desirae Barnett (Wally); and his siblings, Nelson Omar Tamayo, Gloria Elizabeth Tamayo Garcia, Ruth Evelyn Shore (Martin) and Sandra Mercedes Givens (Rodney). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
