She was predeceased by: her husband Mutsuo Yamasaki; her daughter Merry Yamasaki; and her sister Kinuyo Umemoto. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn (John D. Tull) and Kenny Yamasaki; her siblings, Masazumi Yanagihara (Setsu) of Japan and Kayo Yamaguchi (Minoru); and her brother-in-law Yusaku Umemoto of Japan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
