She was predeceased by: her husband Minoru; her son Steven; her parents, Heizaburo Tanaka and Kohashi Tanaka; and her siblings, Hirao Tanaka, Nobuko Furukawa, Isoko Kunisaki and Hisako Masamoto.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Tanaka (Debbie), Suzanne Chinn (Paul) and Diane Takahashi (Kohei); her grandchildren, Rick Tanaka (Pam), Somer Manner, Alex, Katie, Courtney Takahashi and Kenny Tanaka; her great grandchildren, Charisma and Keen Tanaka; her brother Yoneo Tanaka; and her sister-in-law Chieko Tanaka.
