He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ricardo "Duke" Acosta and Victor "Pewee" Olvera. He is survived by: his parents, Juan Acosta of Sinaloa, MX. and Lidia Olvera of Calexico; his siblings, Armando Acosta Newman and Olga of Olvera; and his daughters, Cristina Acosta of El Centro and Jennifer Acosta of El Centro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
