She was predeceased by: her husband Walter J. McElroy; her daughter Mary McElroy; her sister June Hesketh; her sibling-in-law Jean Ward; and her parents, James Shepherd and Irene Shepherd.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Schreiner, Walter J. McElroy III and Patricia Merriman; her children-in-law, John Schreiner and Theresa McElroy; her grandchildren, Eric, Courtney Schreiner, Meredith, Walter IV, Erin McElroy, Ryan and Christopher Merriman; and her great grandchildren, Aiden and Cody Merriman. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
