He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bowling and Marie Bowling; his wife Patricia Bowling; and his sister Louise Cheever. He is survived by: his son Carl Jr. "C. J."; his sister Jean LaBoyne; his daughters, Jeannie Olson (Gary) and Sherrie Sample (Mel); his grandsons, Robert Wilson, Jason Losey (Elsie), Chad Sample, Kyle Sample (Kelli), Joseph Sample (Hanna), Bret Sample (Brooke) and Jesse Bowling; and his great grandchildren, Kylee, Ava, Reed, Dominic, Chloe, Bailey, Lexi, Emmy, Paige and Blake. He is also survived by Dad also taught his kids and his grandsons.
