He was predeceased by: his wife Macaria Esquivias; his son Ruben Esquivias Sr; his grandson Juan Ruben Esquivias Jr; and his sisters, Maria Esquivias, Tonia Esquivias, Carmela Esquivias, Inez Esquivias and Ignacia Esquivias.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ramona Esquivias Ramirez (Fermin) and Catalina "Cathy" Esquivias Corrales (Abel); and his siblings, Federico Esquivias, Andres Esquivias, Jose Esquivias, Mercedes Esquivias, Cuca Esquivias and Olivia Esquivias. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
