He is survived by: his wife Carol Vallejo Ruiz; his daughters, Carmelo Ruiz (Michelle), Carlos Ruiz, Charlene Tamayo (Arturo), Christina Mercado (Christian), Christopher Ruiz (Yissel), Casey Ruiz (Rafaela) and Christian Ruiz (Jacqueline); his father Carlos; his sisters, Alfonso Ruiz (Celsa), Mary Contreras (Tomas), Rafael Ruiz (Sandra), Jose Ruiz (Josie), Carmela Ruiz and Gonzalo Ruiz; and his grandchildren, Luna Star Tamayo and Caleb Aiden Ruiz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
