She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Catherine Sumner Brittingham and Edward George Brittingham; her spouse Lt. Peter J. McCormick; her children, Peter E. McCormick (Sandra), Catherine Mechler and Robert B. McCormick; and her siblings, Edward George Brittingham and Joy Snell (Art). She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
