She is survived by: her daughter Ayisha Knight-Shaw; her daughter-in-law Stephanie Knight-Shaw; her brother Raphael Sloane (Huli Sloane); her nieces and nephews, Josiah Citrin, Anna Citrin, Djuna Citrin and Noah Sloane; and her granddaughter Olivia Citrin.
She won numerous awards for her still photographs, in Ken Burns' television mini-series "Jazz," photo essays for the San Francisco Foundation, UNICEF in Grenada; Global Deaf Connection in Jamaica; and Head Start in New York City.
