He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Barron. He is survived by: his wife Reba Halverson; his children, Nicholas, Jessica and Emily Barron; his mother Johanna Barron; his sisters, Pia Ament, Isa Gräf, Christina Flores, Gina Barron and Angelica Barron; his granddaughter Payton Mortensen; his son-in-law Tyler Mortensen; and his friends, Joe Mincolla and Kevin Gundry. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to Benicia Arsenal FC, Benicia Girls Softball, or Ducks Unlimited.
