With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James V. Mahern (Benicia, California), born in Fulton, New York, who passed away on August 7, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Elizabeth Smith and Edward Joseph Mahern, Sr.; his brother Ed; his wife Marcelline Ann Maher; his children, James V., Jr., Maureen Mahern McIntosh (Tony) of Benicia, CA and Bridget Mahern Cornell (Michael) of Incline Village, NV; his sister-in-law Marilyn Maher of Vallejo, CA; and his grandchildren, Jackie, Tori McIntosh, Mitchell and Matthew Cornell.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Robert Semple Parent Teacher Group (PTG) (via Venmo: Robert Semple Elementary Benicia @Robert-Semple-PTG, or via check: made out to "Robert Semple PTG," 2015 East Third Street, Benicia, CA 94510), and "The V Foundation" (www.v.org), to support cancer research.
