He was predeceased by: his significant other Mary; his parents, Edna and Clifford; and his brother Don. He is survived by: his son-in-law Dave; his daughter Lynne; his niece Dottie Delaquila (Bobby); and his friends, Brian and Teresa Lerch.

He donated blood for decades as he had a blood type perfect for babies, many times getting up in the middle of the night to drive to Children's Hospital in Oakland when there was an urgent need.
