He is survived by: his parents, Rosella Barela (Pacheco) and Raynaldo S. Barela; his siblings, Herman J. Barela and Ava A. Barela; his girlfriend Patricia Maestas; his daughter Marissa Alcantara (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Raul Gonzalez III and Norah Waterhouse. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
