She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Miguel Sr. and Eileen Miguel; her husband Mathew Nelson Sr.; her children, Miguel J. Nelson (Mikey) and Felice M. Nelson; her grandson Ivan R. Kolb; her grandmother Matilda Patencio; her aunt Flora Patencio; and her sister Sheila Miguel.
She is survived by: her children, Amanda Nelson, Amber Nelson, Destiny Nelson, Jade Nelson and Mathew Nelson Jr.; her grandchildren, Samantha L. Avila, Aaron M. Avila, Sheila Yvonne Leimas, Darian Gene Nelson, Christopher W. Paipa, Brenna A. Lee, Kaitlin Jean Nelson, Preston H. Duran, Chanel S. Duran, Stormie S. Duran, Mathew Nelson and SummerJewel P. Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Leiyanah M. Paipa, Warren C. Paipa, Talula Paipa, Ava S. Avila, Olive A. Strohmeyer, Ta'koa M. Lee, Cahuilla and Luiseño.
