He is survived by: his children, Michelle Helms (John Helms) and Kirk Purkiser (Elisa Purkiser); his grandchildren, Thomas Helms, Amanda Helms, Brooke Helms Loftis, Tate Loftis, River Purkiser and Collins Purkiser; his great grandchildren, Bristol Loftis, Carson Loftis and Luke Lofts; and his mother-in-law Kathy Dohrn.
