He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Ortiz and Eliseo Ortiz; and his siblings, Mary Lou Flores, Edward Ortiz, Rudy Ortiz, Cruz Ortiz, Bob Ortiz, Julian Ortiz and Alice Sabbatini.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ortiz (Gonzales); his daughters, Yvonne Ortiz-Bush (Mike) and Lori Gonzalez (Henry); his grandsons, Ricky (Krissy), Emilio Gonzalez and Stephen Bush; and his brother Remey Ortiz. He is also survived by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (124 Columbus St, Bakersfield, CA 93305). A rosary was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (9101 Kern Canyon Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93306).
