She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio Chavarria; her grandson Roy David Grijalva Jr.; her great grandchild Olivia Arvizu; and her mother Eulalia Chavarria. She is survived by: her children, Carmen (Enrique Puente), Sandra Abina, Rose-Ann (John Adkins) and Juan (Sheila Abina); her grandchildren, Phillip (Sonia Arvizu), Danielle Puente (Justin Hevle), Enrique Puente Jr., Courtney Grijalva, Rafael, Juliet, Bridget Abina and Johnny Adkins; and her great grandchildren, Phillip Jr., Adrianna, Adam, Daphne Arvizu, Gabriel Fuentez, Isabela, Shyne Trevino, Yasmine, Hopi, David Grijalva, Luke Puente Galindo, Jacob, Daisy Arvizu, Ryan Cobos, Jameson Ortiz and Mavis Ortiz. She is also survived by her children/grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM at the Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St, Bakersfield, CA 93306). A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Greenlawn Cemetery Northeast (3700 River Blvd, Bakersfield, CA 93305).
