He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Stoffel and Martha Stoffel; and his sisters, Doris Ludvigsen and Ruth Bello. He is survived by: his wife Dora Koster; and his sisters, Nancy D'Arcy and Ingel Sell. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Sacramento Turn Verein.
