He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Buddy" and Marie Wood; and his brother James Wood. He is survived by: his former wife Denise Cranor-Preston; his children, Annette Cosgrove (Bruce) of Meadow Vista, CA, Jeanette Prout (Richard) of Roseville, CA, Tricia Bushey of Brookshire, TX, Don Wood (Lisa) of Langley, WA, Debbie Daumen (Jim) of Langley, WA and Julie Riise (Eric) of Everett, WA; and his siblings, Stan Wood and MaryAnn Bekowies. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
