She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Spurlock and Mildred "Juanita" Spurlock (Cameron); her brothers, Johnnie Douglas Spurlock and Ronald Roy Spurlock; her sisters-in-law, Medrith Louise Spurlock (Thompson) and Patricia "Patsy" Gail Spurlock (Dennis); and her half-brother Jerry Delbert Finney Sr..
She is survived by: her husband John Edward Sanders; her children, Steven Edward Sanders and Cindy Kay Krugman (Sanders); her brother David Cameron Spurlock; her sister-in-law Pamela Elaine Spurlock (McNamara); her grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Pietz (Krugman), Lauren Michelle Soest (Krugman), Kristin Nicole McTighe (Krugman), Steven Edward Sanders and Colleen Marie Woolsey (Sanders); and her great grandchildren, Payton Elizabeth Soest, Meara Aisley McTighe, Jocelyn Anne Soest, Avery Nicole Soest, Rory Quinn McTighe and Ada Marie Woolsey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Susie developed Alzheimer's and had heart disease, then suffered a debilitating stroke in 2012.
