Kevin John Ducey Obituary
Kevin John Ducey of Atwater, Ca passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 22, 2022. He was 73. A native of Yonkers NY, Kevin was born to John & Mary Ducey on April 5, 1949. He attended local schools and graduated in 1968 from Charles E. Gorton High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1969 being stationed at Udorn Royal Thai Air Base in Thailand. He was also a Veteran of the Vietnam War. It was in Thailand that he would meet his future wife Saengchan Chantrasena and they would later have sons; Scott and Keith. Kevin was stationed at Castle AFB in 1979. He would serve for just over 17 years. Kevin was a member of the Atwater community for over 40 years being active with Atwater Raiders Youth Football as a Vice President, Equipment Manager and Coach during the mid 80's. It was one of his greatest passions to help the youth. Kevin was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved his Steelers and above that, he loved his family more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Joseph Ducey and Mary Florence Ducey. Also by his Grandparents William and Bridget Ducey as well as John and Bridget Delia Duffy Mullins. He was also preceded by his loving and Uncle and Aunt John and Irene Tobin, Uncle Tommy Mullins, Uncle John Mullins, Uncle Michael Ducey and Aunt Mary Ducey Howley.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Saengchan Ducey of Atwater, sons Scott Ducey (Dawn) & Keith Ducey (Daria) both of Atwater, as well as 7 Grandsons; Camron Ducey (Joanna) Scott Ducey Jr, Myles Ducey (Joy), Andrew Ducey (Mayela), Keith Ducey Jr, Julian Ducey & Davin Ducey along with 6 great grandchildren Mylean, Evan, Oliver, Jael, Adalee and Corrina. Kevin is also survived by many cousins in New York. Our Father was born an only child with no siblings, when all was said and done the Ducey name and legacy carries on. #Duceystrong.
Viewing will be held at Stratford Evans Funeral Home November 1st from 1-4pm. Services to be officiated by Honorable Pastor Roderick Cochran at 3pm. Burial will be private with Military honors.
