She was predeceased by: her spouse Jerry Brockman; and her son Cory Richard Brockman. She is survived by: her daughter Janelyn Simpson-Paredes; her son-in-law Mark Paredes; and her grandchildren, Chandler Brockman, Matthew Simpson and Matt Paredes.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Gayle's name to Our Lady of Mercy School, Merced, California, where she was on the Foundation Board.
