She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Matthew McGuinn and Margaret McGuinn; her husband Paul Seckendorf; and her children, Mary, Rob and Tim. She was also cherished by her husband of sixty-three years, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She died from respiratory complications from COVID-19.

Kathleen was diagnosed in 2003 with advanced dementia and subsequently Alzheimer's.
