“Liz and I are greatly saddened by the loss of Helen Yung. Helen was a member of the historic San Luis Obispo Chinese-American Gin family. Both she and her husband, Steve added greatly to that legacy, most especially at their Imperial China Restaurant(s) and through their longtime support of Cal Poly and cuesta Colleges' Chinese Student Association. I am most grateful to Helen for her salty plum and ginger tea which kept my voice going throughout my years of heavy lecturing.”
