Edna King-Miller Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna King-Miller (Atascadero, California), born in Ralls, Texas, who passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 89, Edna was a member of the Atascadero Art Association for many years and served as secretary for much of that time. She earned her associates degree in library technology at Cuesta College at the age of 61. She worked for the Atascadero Library for many years until her retirement and continued to volunteer up until she was no longer physically able.
Her favorite pastimes were. number one -reading. Over the years she had amassed hundreds of books. She also loved painting, genealogy, entering sweepstakes, walking and watching Doger Games. She traveled al lot with the elder hostel program and loved meeting new people and seeing different parts of the country by train.
She was a past member of the Sweet Adelines, Almond country and Pacific Horizon. Edna loved to sing.
Preceding her in death were her parents Samuel and Ann King; Sisters Lucille Hanel and Geraldine Young, Nephews Alan Hanel, David King. No funeral services were requested By Edna. Her ashes will be scattered by her family.
