He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Dail McGowen and Sadie Lorene McGowen; and his siblings, Ruby Gates, Gary McGowen and Terry McGowen.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn McGowen; his children, Jennifer and Jeff McGowen; his daughter-in-law Lori McGowen; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Eastman, Jessica McGowen, Nicolette Svitenko and Colton McGowen (Breonna McGowen); his great grandchildren, Andilynn McGowen, Lincoln McGowen, Ezra McGowen, Finnick McGowen and Luca Alia; and his siblings, Brenda Albitre, Rodney McGowen and Darlene McGowen.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bakersfield National Cemetery (30338 E Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA 93203).
