Mariamma Mathai Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2018, at the age of 84, Mariamma Mathai (Artesia, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Chandy Joseph and Aleyamma Chandy; her spouse G. V. Mathai; her children, Helen Kumari Mathai, Mishal Montgomery (Len), Dayan Mathai and Sheela Kleinknecht (David); her grandsons, Schuyler, Ethan, Luke Montgomery, Samuel Kleinknecht and Raymond Kleinknecht; her brother A. C. Joseph; and her nieces, Lizzy, Gracy, Jessy and Mercy.

For several decades, she collected donations of clothing and essentials, packing them in suitcases for India, meeting the needs of students, children and staff in the IEM Bible College and Children's Home.
