He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Maurer and Rose Maurer; and his sisters, Louella Jones (Kenneth Jones) and Rosalie Brown. He is survived by: his friend Gilbert Jurak; his sister Joan; his wife Joan Mary Maurer; his children, Paul Maurer (Martha), Marie Maurer-Mock (Rodney), Lisa Hassen (Mark), Heather Christie (Todd), Lara MacDonald (Allan), Greta Salhus (Scott) and John Maurer (Rebecca); and his siblings, Richard Maurer (Peggy) and Theresa Brown (Rick). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
