She is survived by: her parents, Gary Simpson and Janette Wilson; her siblings, Wylan and Autumn; her great-grandparent Edith Wilson; and her grandparents, Richard Wilson and Karen Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joia Simpson Scholarship Fund ~ Umpqua Bank, Arcata, CA.
