He is survived by: his wife Millicent Tanoue of Arcadia, California; his children, Cary Tanoue of Pahoa and Chandra Tanoue of Hilo; and his siblings, Stanley Tanouye (Ann) of Honolulu, Gary Tanouye (Susan) of Hilo and Jane Takamatsu (Richard) of Hilo. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one aunt; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
