With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Edwin Balch of Aptos, California, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on June 4, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Balch and Phoebe Balch (Gift); his brother Michael Balch; his wife Marilynn Balch (Dittbrenner); and his children, Susan Harrington of Aptos, CA, Steven Balch of Santa Rosa, CA, Daniel Balch of Colorado Springs, CO and James Balch of Stockton, CA. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Hospice of Santa Cruz County.
