He is survived by: his brother-in-law James Gurr; and his siblings, Karen Gurr (James), Judith Meldrum (George), Mike Buhler (Carolyn), Geraldine Farnsworth (Paul), Christine Bennett (Barry) and Craig Buhler (Teresa). He is also survived by 28 nieces and nephews.
