She is survived by: her children, David Mercado (Bertha Mercado), Luis Mercado (Iris Mercado) and Madeline Rodriguez (Louie Rodriguez); and her sister Margarita C. Pinero. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
