She was predeceased by: her husband Harry; her parents, Fred Malais and Nell Malais; her son James; and her brothers, Fred and Joe.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph of Apple Valley, Jon (Sharon) of Grass Valley, Nicholas of Antioch, Harrison of Berkeley, Tressie, Daphne of Grass Valley and Joe. She is also survived by her brother Ed in Arizona; and scores of life-long friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation towards a California FFA scholarship in Marlene's honor.
