He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Edwards and Tom Edwards, Jr.; his brother George Hammonds, Sr.; and his son-in-law Wardell Ervin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Cecelia Edwards of Antioch, CA; his children, LaTasha Yvonne Ervin and Steven Matthew Edwards; his grandchildren, Imani Nichole Ervin of Sacramento, CA and Joshua Xavier Ervin of Sacramento, CA; his siblings, Beatrice Owens of Sacramento, CA, Tommie Lee Edwards (Marquita) of Balch Springs, TX, Linda McKenzie (James Harris) of Madera, CA, Thomas Douglas, Jr. (Kimberly) of Stockton, CA and Julia Hill of San Leandro, CA; and his friends, Jose and Ana Engelhard of Antioch, CA.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
