She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Sarr and Sylvia Sarr; and her husband Harvey C. Kamer. She is survived by: her children, Andrew Edward Kamer and Anne Kamer D'Elia; her close friend Sherry Margolin; her grandchildren, Sandee D'Elia Sandbrink, Jordan Douglas Kamer (Melanie Kamer Greene) and William Sandbrink (Jared Greene); her granddaughter-in-law Melissa Tannenbaum Kamer; and her great grandchild Jocelyn Harper Sandbrink. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Field Cemetery-Cypress Hill. A burial was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 45 Hill Park Ave, Great Neck Plaza, NY 11021.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Helene's memory to Temple Emanuel of Great Neck or the American Heart Association.
