It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa Kiyoko Sakuma of Anderson, California, who passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Theresa Kiyoko farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Theresa Kiyoko is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Shinobu Dale Sakuma. She is survived by: her niece Lilla; and her children, Hebe (Bradley), Angela (Thomas), Sara Sakuma, Tess (Taylor-Dunlap), Echo (Compton) and Jim Sakuma.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lawncrest Chapel (1522 E Cypress Ave, Redding, CA 96002). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Anderson District Cemetery (2500 Cemetery Ln, Anderson, CA 96007).
