Though Melanio may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilio F. Dacanay (Rosario S. Cabaltera) and Ilocos Sur; and also Amado. He is survived by: his wife Lilia Caranto; his children, Primo, Katherine, Melinda and Jennifer; and his grandchildren, Nicole, Victoria, Jonathan and Hannah.
